Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, Norah Jones and Jack Johnson are some of the musicians who will be performing on a tribute album for English singer-songwriter Nick Drake, who died of drugs OD in 1974. The album will be released by Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records.

The recording process will be part of a DVD package that also includes the deceased actor Heath Ledger's unreleased version of the song 'Black eyed dog' in late 2007 for a multimedia installation about Drake.

Drake became extremely famous when his song "Pink Moon" was used in a Volkswagen ad in 2000, before which he was a little known artiste.
